Making The Connection
HSI Sensing proximity sensors detect certain preset positions within a control box. As the valve rotates open or closed the cam, with magnets mounted on it, rotates within the control box activating different sensors and sending that signal to the main control hub.

The Back Story
In the 1970’s, Frank Sin Claire chose HSI Sensing to provide switches to the fluid control industry because we manufactured the highest power Form C reed switch at the time. They chose our durable tungsten contacts to handle the capacitance and inductance spikes possible with long wires.
HSI products sold within this application space are fully encapsulated for safety and explosion proof protection. Many of the reed switches are also sealed under vacuum – providing a second layer of safety for these products.
The primary product for this application is the PRX+6850 that uses the HSR-933 high power form C reed switch.
Most products for this application space are fully encapsulated for safety and explosion proof protection. Switches used are also sealed under a vacuum providing a second layer of safety for these products. HSI’s durable tungsten contacts can handle capacitance and inductance issues from long wires.

“We are constantly looking to reimagine the way we use sensor technology in our everyday lives. Whether our engineers are looking at a chemical processing plant, a fighter jet or a pinball machine, we are imagining the way that we can use our products to make those technologies better.”
